The Holiday Bazaar will take place on Saturday, November 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Olivewood Gardens and will feature more than 40 local vendors and Kitchenista entrepreneurs, and food for purchase prepared by our High School Culinary Program Interns. The free community event is an opportunity to discover handmade goods, holiday gifts, and treats. All proceeds will support the growth of locally owned small businesses. A variety of unique, locally made products will be available for purchase, including handmade scented soaps, candles, salsa macha, local honey, sourdough bread, tamales, jewelry, handbags, knitted wear, and much more. Kitchenista entrepreneurs will be selling artisanal breads, handcrafted jewelry, and Mexican artisan goods. A variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs, and ornamentals will be available for purchase to support Olivewood’s programs. Olivewood Gardens & Learning Center promotes health equity, food access, and community building. Proceeds from the Holiday Bazaar will help Olivewood continue to provide resources, programming, and nutritious food access to the community it serves. Olivewood collaborates with the community of National City and neighboring areas to increase access to fresh foods and vegetables and green spaces, fostering a healthier and more equitable future for all families.
