Join in a “moving” celebration marking the 75th anniversary of the iconic Balboa Park Miniature Train. On Nov. 13, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., visitors of all ages are invited to hop aboard for a fun—and free!—train ride. Every 30 minutes, the San Diego Zoo will randomly select one child to be an “honorary engineer” and receive a free train kit, with a whistle and hat. The Balboa Park Miniature Train is operated by the San Diego Zoo, and is located right outside the Zoo exit. From the organizers: Laufey (pronounced lāy-vāy) is a 24-year-old, Los Angeles-based singer, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose jazz songs are about young love and self-discovery. The San Diego Veterans Day Parade is an annual event honoring those who served past and present. Thousands of residents, community leaders, will line the parade route on, Nov. 12, 2023 to pay tribute to America’s heroes – the Veterans of our Armed Forces.
