Start off your Independence Day celebration a day early by bringing a beach chair and the whole family to enjoy Oceanside Fireworks Show. The City of Oceanside will host an incredible fireworks display on Monday, July 3, 2025, at SoCal Soccer Complex at El Corazon. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. There will be food available onsite beginning at 5:30 p.m. This year’s event will feature live entertainment, a family fun zone with inflatables, a picnic area, and food vendors. The SoCal Soccer Complex at El Corazon is located at 3300 El Corazon Drive. Parking will be available at the SoCal lot for $12 per car and free parking will be available at the adjacent Ocean Ranch Business Park. RV’s and buses are not permitted. The Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA) has assembled some of the best teachers in Southern California to lead fun and inspiring art camps for students. Join us for two weeks of Summer fun, making friends, and making art! CoSA Summer Arts Camps are July 7-18, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. weekdays. Camps meet on the campus of Coronado High School and will culminate in an open exhibition/performance of creative works for families to enjoy in the last hour of the last day. The Besos Jazz Trio has been stirring up audiences with vibrant performances of music and dance since 2017. These worldly performers are a study in balancing traditions. With roots in Mexican ballet folklorico, Claudia Gomez plays percussion and tap dances. Evona Wascinski, from Poland, brings a classical virtuosity to the upright bass. And Beston Barnett, a Nashville native, plays manouche guitar and sings in five languages. “We keep it loose but alive; we leave space for what each of us does best,” says Wascinski. Together, they improvise, sing, and dance their way through an eclectic stew of swing tunes and sambas, boleros and musettes, original compositions and more.
