  • Join us for an exciting and challenging kayaking adventure through Chula Vista’s coastal habitats, ending at the restored Chula Vista Wetlands! This guided tour takes you through dynamic waterways where you’ll have the chance to spot local wildlife, including birds, fish, and other coastal creatures. While we welcome participants of all skill levels, please be aware that the kayaking portion is fairly long and requires a bit of endurance. The wind can also pick up midway through the tour, making for a more challenging but rewarding experience. On this 8-mile out-and-back hike we will travel through oak woodlands, native grasslands, and fields of wildflowers. We will look for and identify native wildflowers. Moderate difficulty. Event Location: Santa Ysabel Open Space Preserve trailhead off Farmer Rd. Additional Notes: Family Friendly (all ages welcome), as long as all hikers are prepared for the distance.
