The Woman’s Club of Vista (WCV) is hosting the Second Annual Vista Fun Walk for Autism Awareness and Acceptance on April 6, 2025. All proceeds of this fundraiser go to Vista nonprofits and nonprofit organizations that support autism research, awareness, and acceptance. The event is sensory-friendly, and there is a 1K walk and a 2K walk. There will also be exhibitors and educational opportunities to learn about autism resources. The Woman’s Club of Vista was founded in 1916. Its mission is to enrich lives through philanthropy and volunteer service in Vista, CA and North San Diego County. Attendees will enjoy a stunning Del Mar home, dine on a selection of three different paellas, see student artwork, and have the opportunity to create art with the ArtReach Artists that lead in-school programs, mural collaborations, and community art-making. Taught by a variety of skilled educators and professional artists, your child will explore seasonal crafts through a variety of mediums such as woodworking, ceramics and fiber arts! Along the way, we’ll make fun, high-quality crafts kids can take home. Our projects are geared to build and hone skills such as hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, creativity, comprehension + exploration of a variety of materials. Projects and depth of craft exploration are matched up to the child’s age and ability. It’s important that your child bring water in a refillable bottle and a snack (no candy or peanut products please) in case they are hungry or thirsty during this time. In addition, if your child is enrolled in a nearby camp elsewhere in Liberty Station, and they’re camp is ending as ours begins, we are happy to walk your child from their camp to the studio.
