California's Franchise Tax Board announced Monday the deadline to pay 2022 income taxes has been extended due to technical issues with their payment application. The new deadline is 11:59 p.m., April 19, 2022.

The county's cumulative totals increased to 754,544 infections and 5,230 deaths with Friday's data.

The budget, dubbed "Ready to Rebuild" by the mayor's office, is intended to reflect the city's transition away from the COVID-19 pandemic and towards long-term projects.

Leisure and hospitality registered the most significant month-over payroll increase, adding 5,000 jobs.

Wage increases include $4.25 per hour over the contract for most workers while some classifications will receive higher pay raises, the union said.
