San Diego County reported 894 new COVID-19 infections and 12 new deaths Thursday.

Maps released Thursday of earthquake-prone areas are intended to ensure new construction in San Diego does not take place atop earthquake faults that may break the surface.

There have been 16 earthquakes reported near El Centro and Imperial since midnight.
