The City of San Diego Planning Commission today voted down a plan to build a new power plant near Mission Trails Park, bordering Santee. The proposed Quail Brush Generation Plant sparked fierce local opposition in Santee. Opponents are concerned about emissions and noise pollution. But now that the Planning Commission has voted down the plant, the issue has been resolved, right? Not exactly. We discuss the Quail Brush proposal and who has the final say.
