Muertos Candlelight Procession At Sherman Heights
In Mexico, we decorate graveyards. In Sherman Heights we decorate the neighborhood!
We invite you to participate in the Muertos Candlelight Procession. Please remember that the procession is a sacred and spiritual event, we appreciate all participants demonstrating the utmost respect for the altars and the preservation of our cultural heritage. The procession will be guided by Calpulli Mexihca.
By participating in the procession we:
• Honor our ancestors and loved ones who have passed away.
• Bring healing and unity to the families in our community.
• Work together as an active community to preserve traditions that may otherwise be forgotten.
Meet-ups and departures:
– Sherman Heights Community Center | Meet up at 4:30 p.m., departing at 7 p.m.
– Centro Cultural de la Raza | Meet up time TBD, departing at 5:30 p.m.

Location | Sherman Heights Community Center and Centro Cultural de la Raza
The procession is a masked event for all, including vaccinated participants.
