Summer Solstice marks the beginning of the new season and is the longest day and shortest night of the year. What better way to celebrate the summer solstice than in nature with an outdoor writing retreat.
As we have during both the Fall and Spring Equinoxes, we’ll gather in Liberty Station Park, take ourselves and our notebooks into the natural habitat of the Park to observe, interact with, and reflect on how nature responds to warmer days and longer daylight hours. We’ll also ask what effect these seasonal changes have on us, on our writing, on our personal relation to nature in all its summer wildness. Our retreat will begin in the still-bright light of day and conclude just as the sun sets on the first day of summer.
Bring a friend and join us. More information and directions will be sent upon registration.
