In honor of National Roller Coaster Day on August 16, you are invited to SeaWorld San Diego to complete the COASTER CHALLENGE! SeaWorld San Diego is the Coaster Capital of San Diego, and we challenge you to ride the thrill coasters at the park – Emperor, Manta, Electric Eel, and Journey to Atlantis – to receive a special gift only available to event attendees.
After you compete the Coaster Challenge, you’ll get a sneak peek and EXCLUSIVE FIRST TASTE of the all-new offerings at SeaWorld’s Craft Beer Festival, which runs weekends from August 19 – September 11! Sample ice-cold brews from renowned local breweries and delicious food inspired by craft beers. There will also be entertainment and games to enjoy.

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 10, 2022) – Craft Beer Festival is returning to SeaWorld San Diego with even more delicious local brew and food options than ever before. The event will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from August 19 to September 11 and features an unbeatable mix of more than 100 domestic and local California crafts brews. Thanks to the newly opened High Tide Brews taproom, the event has expanded from last year to include a beer garden with live entertainment, Meet the Brewer talks, and special beer tasting and flight options. For guests who prefer alternative options to beer, the festival has a range of hard kombucha and cider options available.

A craft beer festival wouldn’t be complete without delicious food inspired by and perfectly matched with drink selections. Guests will find festival food huts serving a variety of unique and flavorful options that incorporate brews into delicious menu offerings including:
- Beer Cheese-Steak – “Classic” Philly Cheese Steak with Mike Hess Shipwreck Lager Cheese sauce
- Tepache Glazed Pork Belly Bao - Pork Belly glazed with Thorn Brewing Co. Pineapple Sour and Bahn Mi veggies
- Lamb Kofta – Topped with Babe Kombucha Moroccan Citrus Cucumber Tzatziki
- Cowboy Sundae - Pulled pork, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and Pizza Port Bacon ‘N Eggs Porter Gravy

Attendees can enjoy boundless combinations of food and drink selections with a purchase of a Craft Beer Festival Sampler. Tasting options start with an 8-item Sampler for only $50 or attendees can take it up a notch with the best savings and a 12-item Sampler for $65. SeaWorld Annual Pass Members get to enjoy 3 FREE menu items when they purchase an exclusive 15-item Craft Beer Festival Sampler for the price of a 12-item Sampler. Samplers are a separate purchase from park admission and are only valid for use on Craft Beer Festival dates.
Life’s Better at the Beer Garden
The newly opened High Tide Brews taproom will be serving tastings and flights and features two SeaWorld-inspired hops made by Mike Hess Brewing and inspired by two SeaWorld drops, Shipwreck Lager named after the popular water ride Shipwreck Rapids, and Emperor Hazy IPA, inspired and named after the park’s newest coaster, which is California’s tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster. In addition to beers on tap, the space will host Meet the Brewer talks where guests can hear from the minds behind some of their favorite breweries and learn more about the brewing process.
Located next to the taproom, Explorer’s Garden will be transformed into a lively outdoor beer garden where guests can relax, play cornhole, and enjoy live music including local bands and DJs.

The SeaWorld San Diego SoCal Pass is BACK for a limited time. From now through August 14, the SoCal Pass is available for just $10 a month. The pass provides unlimited admission for twelve months, 50% off general parking, and discounted Howl-O-Scream tickets.
