1960s playwright and devout Buddhist Jean-Claude Van Italie invites us to writing as a contemplative act, based on his rare hard-to-find book Tea with Demons.
Some systems that deny it, but many traditional practices explicitly encourage cultivating specific gentle spaces wherein we may sit with our Shadows. We seek that: self-acceptance amidst the Pandaemonium.
