Enjoy a crazy fun day filled with food, sun, and of course championship beach bocce ball action while raising money in support of Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad’s proven after school programs.
The popular annual championship attracts a crowd of 400+ teams of seasoned and first-time players. It is projected to raise more than $100,000, bringing the event’s 40-year fundraising total close to $2 million.
Even though the competition is intense, the event is highlighted by color costumes and lots of laughter. The day starts out with round robin play, with the top two teams advancing to single elimination play until a World Champion is crowned in each of four divisions.
Spectators are welcome (no charge), and there’s plenty of free parking.
