North Park’s The Original 40 Brewing Company is hosting a beginners calligraphy workshop with holiday ornaments in partnership with Sip & Script on Thursday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m. as part of its “December Crafts and Craft Beers” series. Tickets are $65 and are available here. The price includes a beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, two letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder) and all materials to write on. Guests are invited to come early for Happy Hour, which is from 4 – 6 p.m. and includes $2 off all beer and wine. On December 9, Head Brewer Zack Kaplan releases his latest beer Strata Chilla, a Cold IPA (6.6% ABV) with Strata and Citra Incognito hops, packed with berry, melon, and citrus notes.
