“SWEET SMEll OF SUCCESS” (1957. 96 Minutes) - A scathing, pungent, energy-charged dispatch from the dark wilds of 1950s Manhattan. An immoral press agent (Tony Curtis) sells his soul to a treacherous Broadway columnist (Burt Lancaster) beginning a Machiavellian struggle for power, money and survival.

FIlm Forum Coronado is held in the Winn Rooms m at the Coronado Public Library, twice a month, with a brief introduction before the film and a discussion afterward, led by Ralph DeLauro. This program is presented by the Coronado Public Library and the Coronado Island Film Festival.

In the swift, cynical "Sweet Smell of Success," Burt Lancaster stars as the vicious Broadway gossip columnist J. J. Hunsecker, and Tony Curtis as Sidney Falco, the unprincipled press agent Hunsecker ropes into smearing the up-and-coming jazz musician romancing his beloved sister.
