Corsets, bustles, and top hats! Fashion during the Victorian and Edwardian Eras was renowned for elaborate displays of social standing and unique silhouettes! Does this fashion still inspire people today?
History Talks! Lecture series is back in 2023! Join us at the Gaslamp Museum on Wednesday, January 18 at 7 p.m. Marty Ornish, an internationally known textile artist, will present a short history of Victorian fashion and show her artwork influenced by Victorian, Edwardian and other fashion eras. A discussion of some of the dangers of Victorian Fashion, and how clothing styles were updated, will be included.
This Lecture will be presented in person and via zoom!
