It's time for the 6th Annual San Diego Public Library Short Story Contest!
Find the writer in you!
Sponsored by the Friends of the San Diego Central Library, the Short Story Contest is a continuation of the support provided by the library to local writing, organized in order to shine a spotlight on local short story authors, and is part of the Local Authors program.
For complete details, rules, FAQ, and to submit a short story during the submission period, please visit the 2023 Short Story Contest webpage.
We will begin accepting submissions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 6. Only 75 stories will be accepted, and the submission window closes after we receive our 75th story.
Winners will be announced in early May 2023.
For further information, please contact us at localauthor@sandiego.gov, and put "2023 SDPL Short Story Contest" in the subject line.
We hope you'll submit a story to this year's contest, and we look forward to another season of amazing tales!
