Class Description
This Spring let’s celebrate the equinox in the unique beauty of San Diego Mission Trails Regional Park. A guide will lead us along an easy trail that will take us through a small oak woodland with majestic coast live oaks and along a stream where a replica of a Kumeyaay home is found. Thanks to this winter’s extensive rainfall, the trails will be alive with spring growth. All our senses will be awakened as birdsong and other sounds of nature accompany us and we breathe in fresh sage-scented air; if we’re lucky, we’ll spot some late-blooming wildflowers along the way. Following our brief walk, we’ll gather at picnic tables and write to prompts, inspired by nature. Bring your journals or notebooks. Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes; a sun hat. Bring water. Snacks will be provided.
Meeting location and additional details will be provided upon registration.
The Spring Equinox Retreat is one in a series of Field Trips we writers will be taking in the coming months. Watch your email for more to come.
