Join us for a Free professional development program that will strengthen your knowledge of art history and provide you with creative ideas to integrate visual art into classroom teaching. You will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition Reconsidering Rembrandt: Night Watching 2019 by contemporary Dutch photographer Rineke Dijkstra, hear talks on works in the Timken's permanent collection, and receive a lesson plan that supports and encourages the development of empathy in students.
All attendees will have a chance to network with other educators over wine and light appetizers and receive free bus transportation to the Timken for their classrooms. In addition, you will be able to apply to have a professional teaching artist come to your classroom to teach a free art class (all supplies included).
