“SEDOTTA E ABBANDONATA” (Seduced and Abandonned) (1964. 117 minutes) - Broken engagements, shotgun weddings, kidnapping, and attempted murder. Pietro Germi’s devilish frenzy of desire skewers Sicilian mores and pompous patriarchies. Comic calamities ensue when a teenage girl (Stefania Sandrelli) is impregnated by her sister’s fiancé. (In Italian with English subtitles).
