Skate Rising is hosting free learn-to-skate lessons on Saturday June 10 from 9-11 a.m. at Encinitas Community Park. Founded in 2016, the program offers service opportunities and free skate instruction for girls ages 4-18 every second Saturday of the month. The youth program invites participants to bring healthy snacks to donate to the Community Resource Center’s Food & Nutrition Services. Professional instruction will be offered by local pro and Olympic skaters and free rental gear will be available for all. Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes from Arbor Skateboards, Hydro Flask and Etnies. Those who are interested can register for free here.
