Del Mar International Composers Symposium: Global Expressions

Join us for a night of chamber music as we open the fourth season of the Del Mar International Composers Symposium! Hear music by acclaimed composers Texu Kim (composition faculty at SDSU), returning DMICS favorite Polina Nazaykinskaya, and DMICS founder Jordan Kuspa performed by a powerhouse trio of musicians: GRAMMY-winning violinist Domenic Salerni, innovative cellist Emily Hu, and "superb pianist" (Washington Post) Jessica Xylina Osborne. This unique program gives you the opportunity to hear from and meet each of our composers, as we explore why and how composers write the music they do. In addition, Domenic Salerni will present a workshop performance of his new piano trio--the first performance of this new work anywhere. It will be the perfect way to kick off our season, showing how DMICS brings composers and performers together as we strive to make the creative process tangible for all.
