The World of Buddhist Arts

Monday, December 4, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 8 PM
San Diego Central Public Library
Free

Join us for a stimulating presentation and discussion on Buddhist arts and its global presence. As Buddhism spread from India to the rest of the world in the 6th century BCE and evolved in each host country, Buddhist visual art followed in its footstep. The speaker, Venerable Man Kuang, is one of the editors of the 20 volume Encyclopedia of Buddhist Arts, the first comprehensive compilation of Buddhist art in the world covering architecture, grottoes, sculpture, paintings, crafts, and calligraphy.
