Join us for a fun tree-planting party that you and your family will love. Additionally, we plan on distributing trees to the public to plant at home. This event is open to the whole family; all ages are welcome.
Under the supervision of Park Rangers and other Department of Parks and Recreation staff, you will be carefully instructed in the correct procedures for planting and maintaining a tree. Afterward, you will plant trees in the park. No prior experience is necessary. For those wanting to assist with loading and unloading, the ability to lift 30 lbs. or more is essential.
We encourage you to bring work gloves, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and snacks and wear sturdy closed-toed shoes and long pants.
