The LUNG FORCE Walk provides critical funds for lifesaving research, early detection initiatives, and awareness outreach to vulnerable communities. Join us and turn small steps into bold strides toward a world without lung cancer and lung disease. Come out and experience the celebratory and welcoming atmosphere of a LUNG FORCE event. It doesn’t matter how you roll, whether you like to saunter, run, power-walk, or stroll: all apply at the Tenth Annual LUNG FORCE Walk – California. It’s a celebratory atmosphere for all ages and abilities. Furry friends are welcome.
Here’s what you can expect on Walk Day:
11:00 a.m. – Registration & Festival Opens
12:00 p.m. – Opening Ceremony with STAR 94.1 Radio Personality DeIana Bennett
12:30 p.m. – Walk Start & Beer Garden & Food Trucks Open
1:30 p.m. – Awards & Prizes
2:30 p.m. – Closing Ceremony
3:00 p.m. – Festival ends
NTC Park at Liberty Station
San Diego isn’t just a place, it’s a lifestyle. It’s an active community of sun worshipers, health nuts, yogis, and water enthusiast. In today’s society, people are desperately seeking open spaces that allow them to escape, relax and rejuvenate. Liberty Station provides guests with a variety of activities to take full advantage of the beautiful scenery, weather and location. The heritage of Liberty Station is its NTC History. The sites rich naval roots is an authenticity that can not be replicated and should not be lost. Instead it should be embraced and celebrated. It is the foundation upon which we build the future and our connection to the past. The NTC Park is the fabric that weaves throughout all Liberty Station, connecting each district and inviting guests to walk, explore, and learn. NTC Park is owned and managed by the City of San Diego’s Park and Recreation Department. Facilities: Two Tot Lot Playgrounds, One Outdoor Basketball Court, Three Comfort Stations, Four MultiPurpose Fields (Field #1-4), Four Passive Picnic and Special Event Fields (Field B, C, D and I), One Large Special Event Field (Preble Field).
