Henri Matisse, one of the most influential artists of the last century, grew up in a small town in northern France. He showed no significant interest in art until he reached adulthood. We will explore his move to Paris to study drawing and painting, the teachers and artists who influenced him, the long and difficult hardships he endured, his marriage and his first success showing and selling his work. This event is free and open to the public, and there is no need to pre-register. Audience: Adults, Seniors
