“Words are the only bread we can really share.” – Luis Alberto Urrea

…and sharing a feast of words is what masterful storyteller, New York Times bestselling author Luis Alberto Urrea, does best. You won’t want to miss this afternoon as he introduces his newest novel, 'Good Night', Irene, which highlights the fearless female volunteers who served overseas during World War II and presents a story of “survival, camaraderie, and courage on the front line” (Kristin Hannah).

Join us to explore themes of hope, heartbreak, friendship, trust, and both the consequences and brutalities of war at the Georgina Cole Library.
