What do vampires, zombies, and viruses all have in common? Learn about some of the world's most interesting (and dangerous) diseases, how they are transmitted, and why some of them are so harmful to the human body. Participants will also examine how pop culture icons, like Spiderman and Venom relate to viruses. Using creative methods, such as clay models, comic writing, infographics, and storytelling, participants will showcase what they have learned.
This is an in-person workshop.

Clairemont Library
Situated at the southern end of Clairemont, the library was built in 1958 for a cost of $84,766. It was the 13th branch in the San Diego Public Library system. The library has been retrofitted several times over the years with modern amenities including air-conditioning and automatic doors, but the building is preserved in a mid-century style. Patrons with a valid library card can request use of the 3-D printer to design and print materials.
