On the evening of Wed., Jan. 8 at 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy will be hosting an in-person-only public lecture entitled: The Lion Uncaged: The Story of India’s Institutional and Economic Rebirth.
Atanu Chakraborty, Former Secretary of Economic Affairs in India, discusses how India stands at a precipice in the coming era under a new Trump administration. India is poised to soon become the world’s third largest economy and perhaps the most important democratic trade partner to the United States, but it faces substantial challenges in realizing its ambitions to be the world’s manufacturing powerhouse.
The event will be held at UC San Diego campus at the Great Hall (directions included on the website below). The closest parking will be visitor parking at the Pangea Parking Structure. The event is open to any interested community members wanting to learn more about the topic and to all friends of the school.
Registration for the event is free and required.
