The Power to Act: Earth Justice in San Diego (In Person & Online)

How can you get involved with earth justice issues right here in San Diego? Why should persons of faith care? And how are youth stepping up to create a better future for all of us?

This panel presentation features leaders from a variety of local organizations. Hear their personal stories, learn what inspires these eco-activists, and uncover concrete steps you can take to make a difference. They’ll discuss four key issues facing San Diego and beyond:

• Fossil fuel divestment

• Toxic pesticides

• Transportation justice

• Banning oil extraction in California

This event is hosted and sponsored by the San Diego School of Christian Studies, whose purpose is to create meaningful experiences that challenge the community to deepen their faith while broadening their knowledge. It’s open to people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs.
