Join us at the historic Sunshine Brooks Theater (217 N. Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA) for the first ever screening of "FREEDOM RIDERS: The Civil Rights Musical." This documentary includes footage and interviews from the creation of the acclaimed musical– from conception of the show in 2016 to present, created in partnership with Broadway Records.

"FREEDOM RIDERS: The Civil Rights Musical" tells the true story of the 1961 activists who boldly challenged the legality and optics of the segregated Jim Crow south by riding buses in mixed racial groups. It features civil rights icons John Lewis and Diane Nash, famed newspaper editor John Seigenthaler, Robert Kennedy and and the courageous and diverse riders of the Civil Rights Movement.
