California Center for the Arts: Escondido
All Ages

¿Qiensave? is a dynamic Cumbia Urbana group from Salinas, California, rooted in Michoacán, Mexico. Their music blends traditional cumbia rhythms with urban vibes, enchanting audiences in California, Arizona, Mexico, and Colombia since their start in 2009.

¿Qiensave? is an uptempo, high-energy, performance-driven band with a fun presence on stage. Their sound “Cumbia Urbana” is a blend of the classic Mexican Cumbia their parents listened to, combined with modern sounds that influenced them like rock, reggae, hip hop, and more.

¿Qiensave? Released their official debut album “Mujer” in 2019, marking a turning point in their career. This followed several singles through 2020 and 2021, beginning with a vibrant cover of Chico Che’s “Mata De Mota” featuring Tropa Magica and the nostalgic quebradita “El DUI” produced by Eduardo Arenas. This followed “La Poderosa” a song about the strong women in their lives and around the world, ending in 2021 with “Para Poderte Olvidar,” which was praised by over 20 outlets. All of this lead up to the release of their single “Quemayama” over the summer and finally released their anticipated EP “El After.” to close out 2022

Currently, ¿Qiensave? Is working on several projects. Their next project is a remix collaboration album with Corpus Christi, TX, nu-cumbia powerhouse El Dusty who produced the entire remix album. The album is called ¿Qiensave? X El Dusty – “Reanimación”. For this album El Dusty takes fan favorte ¿Qiensvae? songs and transforms them, bringing new life as Dusty takes this project in a whole new direction delivering high-energy nu-cumbia vibes.

Their first single “Quemayama Remix” featuring Deuce Eclipse is out now and making waves. Their next single “High Class Remix” featuring Boogát will be out on all digital platforms in October. With “Reanimacion” being released on October 18. This will follow ¿Qiensave?
