About Irving Flores
Irving Flores is an accomplished pianist, composer, arranger and music producer. He has performed with Bill Watrous, Charles McPherson, Abraham Laboriel, Poncho Sanchez, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Alex Acuna, Akira Jimbo, Rene Camacho, Cuba’s “El Negro” Hernandez, Gilbert Castellanos, Peter Sprague.
Irving’s approach to music is deeply rooted in his cultural heritage and his belief in the power of music to transcend boundaries. He is committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians through his work as an educator and mentor, focusing on the intricate rhythms of Afro-Cuban and Latin jazz.
Irving’s career is marked by notable collaborations and performances with jazz icons such as Poncho Sanchez, Airto Moreira, and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. His skills as an arranger and producer shine through in projects like the acclaimed “Tribute to Frank Sinatra” with the San Diego Symphony and his stirring arrangements for international stars like Luis Miguel. Irving’s recent work includes the much-anticipated album “Armando Mi Conga,” recorded live in New York City and featuring a roster of legendary musicians.
