“DR. STRANGELOVE” (1964. 95 min. PG.) - Stanley Kubrick’s subversive howl of outrage is a pitch black, absurdist satire of superpower paranoia. An unhinged rogue general (Sterling Hayden) accidently unleashes a nuclear attack against the Russkies as a war room full of government buffoons and an eccentric scientist (Peter Sellers ) scramble to avert a global Doomsday. Co-starring George C. Scott, Keenan Wynn, Slim Pickens and James Earl Jones.
