Join us for an inspiring evening with cellist Bennet Tsai and pianist Rodolfo Leone. Tsai is a First Prize winner at the 2023 YCA Susan Wadsworth International Auditions (also receiving the Stern Young Artist Award) and earned Third Prize plus the Special Prize for Best Haydn Concerto at Berlin’s 2022 Grand Prix Emanuel Feuermann. Leone is the First Prize winner of the 2017 International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna, with additional top prizes at the Toronto and Busoni competitions. Expect bold chemistry, with a program that travels from Haydn and Beethoven to Bloch, Barber, Boulanger, and Shostakovich.
The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center
The Baker-Baum Concert Hall is an intimate performance space with superb acoustics ideally suited for chamber music and classical recitals. In addition, its design incorporates state-of-the-art technology and adjustable acoustics, making it a world class space for amplified concerts, film, dance, theatre, lectures, and more. A wooden grillage frames the elegant curvature to the seating area creating a shape reminiscent of a European opera house. Outside this framework, lighting washes the walls in color to create a sense of space beyond.
