A flat coastal trail with tons of plants and wildlife.

Join us on a walk along this beautiful Imperial Beach bikeway. Flanked on both sides by native plants and the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge, this is a great place to view many of our winter migratory birds and be introduced to the native plants found in our own backyard. Two hike options will be offered. A shorter easy 2-mile hike with an elevation change of 0 feet, or continue on to complete an easy 4-mile hike with an elevation change of 0 feet. The hike is scheduled from 8–9:30 a.m. or 8–10:30 a.m.

(Imperial Beach) From I-5, exit west on Main St. (Exit 15B). Go 0.5 mile and turn left onto Frontage Rd. Park in the Swiss Park staging area. No facilities. (GPS N32.59491, W117.09081)

Capacity: 25 people.
