Get ready for infectious grooves and soulful tunes as Wreckless Strangers and The Great North Special bring their signature sounds to Winstons in Ocean Beach on Saturday, January 24. San Francisco Bay Area’s Wreckless Strangers, a collective of friends and musicians carrying the torch for the city’s storied rock ’n’ roll tradition, will deliver their brand of “Ameri-Cali Soul” while celebrating the release of their forthcoming album, "Dirty Souls." Hailing from Southern California, The Great North Special is a seven-piece Americana jam band blending country-blues, psych-rock, and funk-soul into a sound all their own.

Winston's is located at 1921 Bacon Street in the heart of beautiful Ocean Beach and is a 21 and up live music club featuring different local and touring bands every night. Winston's has a full bar, friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and daily drink specials. They open at 1:00 p.m. every day, and it's always happy hour except during entertainment. Great bands, top notch sound system, and full scale intelligent lighting system makes Winston's one of San Diego's premier venues to see live music. Winston's was founded in 1986 and has continued to provide great live music for over 20 years. They have a great variety of musical genres, featuring rock, reggae, jam bands, world beat, bluegrass, Latin, jazz, soul, punk, hip-hop, experimental, fusion, and everything in between. Throughout the years Winston's has maintained its status as one of San Diego's top clubs where music fans can see a big name concert in one of the most intimate venues in California. Winston's has hosted big shows with bands such as Steel Pulse, Slightly Stoopid, Melvin Seals & Jerry Garcia Band, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Mikey Dread, Los Lonely Boys, The Skatalites, Ike Turner, Sister Nancy, Sprung Monkey, Particle, and many others. Winston's hosts the longest running musical residency in San Diego with the Electric Waste Band, the popular Grateful Dead Tribute band that's been playing every Monday night for over fifteen years. Winstons is known for live music, but also has some unique happy hour events every week including Spoken Word poetry every Monday, Think and Drink Trivia every Tuesday, Local Art Showcase every Wednesday, Game Day every Thursday, Ocean Beach Comedy every Friday and Open Mic every Sunday.
