Kappa Delta Shamrock 5k Walk/Run - March 7th, 2026
2455 Cushing Road, San Diego, CA - Check in at 8 a.m., Race at 9 a.m.!
Bring your running shoes, good energy, and excitement, and join us for our annual Shamrock 5k on March 7th, 2026, in support of the Olive Crest Foundation and Prevent Child Abuse America. Doesn't matter if you're a marathon runner or just in it for the fun, the Shamrock 5k is perfect for anyone and a fun way to support a good cause!
The event raises awareness and funding for our national philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA), and our local partner, Olive Crest, an organization dedicated to helping San Diego foster children find their forever homes. Our goal this year is to raise $40,000, with 80% of the funds benefiting Olive Crest’s life-changing work here in San Diego, and the remaining 20% supporting PCAA’s mission nationwide.
Disclaimer: This event has sections where you have the option to run through a color station of colored cornstarch! You will have the chance to be covered in bright, fun colors as you make your way through the race. You may skip the color station if you would like to avoid the color, but we highly recommend giving in to the fun colors! The colored cornstarch is considered washable, but we encourage you not to come in your favorite clothes just in case! (No whites, new clothes, favorites, etc.)
