The fee is a sliding scale, we ask that dancers pay the right amount for them on a scale of $15 to $25. Money collected beyond covering expenses goes to the talent. We do have teen, student, and active military discounts. Pay at the door.
Join us on Saturday for our foot-stomping monthly contra dance from 7:30 to 10 p.m. with a beginners’ session at 7 p.m. to learn what you need to know. Contra is a living American tradition, with new dances being written. All are welcome! Gender-neutral dance roles. Wear what you like, with comfortable shoes. A caller teaches and directs each dance. Pairs progress up and down two facing lines. The band is the Cactus Lickers -- Jim Anderson (guitar), Charlie VanTassel (banjo), Jonathan Hallemeier (fiddle), Peter Sharpe (mandolin) -- and the caller is Ellie Konitshek.
