Voices of Our City Choir invites the San Diego community to set sail on a musical journey at its Second Annual Sing-Along Concert: “Yacht Soul.” This lively, interactive concert blends the smooth sounds of classic soul with the breezy grooves of yacht rock for an unforgettable evening of music, community, and purpose. Guest artists include Bobby Cressey, organist for the San Deigo Padres and the San Diego Gulls.
Guests are invited to sing along to beloved hits like “Wanna Dance with Somebody,” “That’s What Friends Are For,” and “Let’s Groove Tonight,” celebrating timeless music from legendary artists including Queen, Whitney Houston, Earth, Wind & Fire, Hall & Oates, The Doobie Brothers, Michael Jackson, and more.
The concert will take place Thursday, April 9, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral in San Diego’s Bankers Hill neighborhood. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7 p.m.
Designed as an interactive musical experience, the event invites audience members to sing along with the choir while enjoying the uplifting energy that Voices of Our City Choir is known for throughout the region.

All ticket proceeds support Voices of Our City Choir’s mission to transform the lives of people impacted by homelessness through music, community, and access to critical resources. The nonprofit’s programs provide choir members with opportunities for artistic expression, supportive community, and connections to housing and supportive services.

About Voices of Our City Choir: The internationally recognized Voices of Our City Choir amplifies the voices of people impacted by homelessness through music and the arts. Voices provides a platform for self-expression, belonging, and the opportunity to reclaim one’s life. With its collaborative alternative to case management, Voices helps San Diegans move from homelessness and into permanent housing. In 2018, Voices launched into the national spotlight as the subject of the PBS documentary “The Homeless Chorus Speaks”, soon after earning international recognition for their Golden Buzzer win on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.
