Welcome hikers to the Escondido Creek watershed! Through this special anniversary hiking series, we invite the community to explore the lands we have protected together across the watershed for the last three and a half decades. These gatherings are a unique opportunity to connect with the people and the places that make the Escondido Creek watershed a vital part of our community.
Following our journey, “ridge to reef,” the series continues on May 2, 2026, at Bottle Peak Preserve. Bottle Peak is a prominent North County landmark, visible for miles and believed to have helped guide the original street layout of Escondido. Come and learn more about the history of this preserve and how the Conservancy has worked to protect it.
