Gather your family, friends, and neighbors for a vibrant, all-ages Asian American Pacific Islander Cultural Celebration on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oak Park Library (2802 54th Street, San Diego, CA 92105). This community-wide event is completely free, and no registration or RSVP is required.
The celebration features an inspiring lineup of special presentations by local leaders, including Moana Alo M.Ed. (District Representative, Office of State Senator) , Susan Delos Santos (Publisher, The Filipino Press) , and Dr. Virginia Loh-Hagan (Executive Director, San Diego State University Office of AANAPISI Affairs and the APIDA Center).
Attendees will also enjoy live Hawaiian dance performances by Kaliloa O Kaleo’Onalani, an engaging cultural storytime , and complimentary refreshments. Additionally, children can participate in an interactive Q&A and a raffle for a chance to win a free copy of the featured book, "A is for Asian American: An Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Alphabet".
