Boris Acosta-Jaramillo Ensemble–'Emanations'
Friday, May 29, 2026 at 7 PM
Conrad Prebys Music Center - Experimental Theater
All Ages
Free

An evening of music created entirely in the moment by pianist, composer, and improviser Boris Acosta-Jaramillo and his ensemble — spontaneous, alive, and shaped by the energy of the room. Drawing from groove, texture, and atmosphere, the Boris Acosta-Jaramillo Ensemble moves fluidly through sound worlds that are at once visceral and contemplative, familiar and uncharted.

The performance will be accompanied by live visual art by Mochilla — the acclaimed Los Angeles-based production company — who will create an immersive, interactive visual experience responding to the music as it unfolds on stage.

Performing:

Boris Acosta-Jaramillo — piano, Fender Rhodes & keyboards | Wilfrido Terrazas — flutes | Anthony Burr — clarinets | David Aguila — trumpet & electronics | Alex Noice — electric guitar | Ted Taforo — saxophones | Rob Thorsen — double bass | Tyler Kreutel — drums | Allan Phillips — percussion | Guy LaBorde — electronics

Free admission. All are welcome.
