Spend an unforgettable evening with Ted Leitner—the legendary voice of the San Diego Padres—as he shares stories from a lifetime behind the microphone.
Hosted by the San Diego History Center, this lively, free-flowing conversation will feature Ted at his very best: candid, witty, and wonderfully unpredictable. Drawing from his memoir "Ted Talks," he’ll revisit the personalities, pivotal games, and behind-the-scenes moments that helped shape San Diego’s sports history—along with a few stories that never made it on the air.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for refreshments and a special viewing of vintage Padres memorabilia from the History Center’s archives—an up-close look at artifacts spanning decades of San Diego baseball.
A perfect evening for Padres fans, storytellers, and lovers of the game.

San Diego History Center
The San Diego History Center, located in the heart of Balboa Park, is the headquarters of the San Diego Historical Society. Here you will not only find a collection of intriguing exhibitions that chronicle San Diego’s diverse history, but also a Research Library. This is home to over 45 million pieces of paper and 2.5 million images that document the people, places and events of San Diego’s past. In addition to the exhibitions at the Museum of San Diego History, the museum also presents a number of public programs including lectures, workshops and educational programs.
