2nd Annual Deborah Savage Purple Ribbon Foundation Backpack Giveaway

The Deborah Savage Purple Ribbon Foundation will be providing backpacks and school supplies to students while supplies last.

Students and families who would like to reserve a backpack should email info@dsprfoundation.org and include the child’s first name, age and grade for the 2026–2027 school year, gender, parent or guardian name, best phone number, and preferred backpack color.

The Deborah Savage Purple Ribbon Foundation was established by Cali Smooth to honor his late mother, Deborah Savage, and continue her legacy of service. Beyond the annual backpack giveaway, the foundation’s mission focuses on empowering at-risk youth and individuals in transition through mentorship, financial literacy, career readiness, entrepreneurship, leadership development and community engagement.

Community members interested in donating or volunteering are also encouraged to participate.
