Bill Magee is a San Diego blues legend and award-winning bandleader, voted Best Blues Band by the San Diego Music Association and Reader Magazine. A former bandmate of a young Jimi Hendrix in Jimmy James and the Flames, Magee’s career has taken him from the Apollo Theater to stages alongside icons like B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Otis Redding, and James Brown. His New York/Chicago-style blues is electrifying, soulful, and deeply rooted in the traditions of the greats.

After stepping away from the road to raise his family, Magee returned to the stage in San Diego — and has been lighting up the local blues scene ever since. With decades of history, masterful guitar work, and a powerful connection to his audience, Bill Magee delivers the real deal. Don’t miss the chance to experience a true blues veteran live.

Experience a true blues veteran live — where history, storytelling, and powerhouse musicianship come together in an unforgettable performance
