It's Poetry in Ocean, Literally!

Come, enjoy, participate and take a chance on adding your personal haiku* to San Diego Public Library's first ever community surfboard! *

Join us for a magical evening under the stars with poets and creatives who find inspiration in our sunsets, surf, and the sea.

Following the conversation there will be a limited Open Mic where participants will have a maximum of 3 minutes to share their ocean/surf themed poetry. Those who recite a haiku will be eligible to have it included on the Community Surfboard! The board will be gifted to Un Mar de Colores, a charity-minded organization based in Encinitas that offers free surf lessons and ocean education to youth in marginalized communities.
