Up to SPED, Inc. Back to School Meet & Greet (w/ FREE Backpack Giveaway)

Up to SPED, Inc. is a new San Diego based nonprofit offering special education information and services to families. We are hosting a Free Back-to-School Meet & Greet at the Valencia Park/Malcolm X Library. It's a family-friendly community event designed to help parents of special needs students prepare for a successful year ahead. We will have FREE Backpacks (with a sensory or fidget item inside) being distributed to attendees while supplies last. Our special education expert will present on Special Education topics including Parent Rights and the Relevant Education Statutes.

Overall, it's a time to gather valuable information, guidance, and tools tailored for exceptional families and their special needs students. Families can come and connect with other families, meet with the nonprofit's founder, get answers to questions, engage with community members, and enjoy some light snacks in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
