United Way of San Diego County (UWSD) invites the community to join A Night United: Illuminating the Way, an unforgettable evening celebrating the power of collective impact and community connection. The elegant gala will take place on Saturday, August 29, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Eve, San Diego's newest premier waterfront destination, offering stunning views of San Diego Bay.
The exclusive event will bring together community leaders, business partners, philanthropists, and advocates for an inspiring evening dedicated to supporting children and families throughout San Diego County. Guests will enjoy fine dining, a live band, exclusive auction opportunities, and meaningful connections while supporting UWSD's mission to improve lives and strengthen communities across the region. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on once-in-a-lifetime auction items and experiences, including a seven-night stay for two at the legendary Rancho La Puerta Wellness Resort & Spa.
The gala will highlight the impact of UWSD’s programs and partnerships that address critical community needs while inspiring attendees to invest in lasting change. Funds raised through the gala will help families across San Diego County build a stronger foundation for the future. Contributions support local life-changing programs that help children develop critical literacy skills, empower young people to explore and pursue in-demand career opportunities, and equip families with the tools to achieve long-term financial security.
At a time when many working families are facing increasing economic challenges, community support is more important than ever. By attending, guests help create pathways to economic mobility, ensuring that San Diego families have the opportunity to thrive today and for generations to come.
"A Night United is a celebration of what is possible when our community comes together," said Rachael Orose, President and CEO of United Way of San Diego County. “Through collaboration with our amazing partners and the community’s support, we can illuminate a path towards opportunity and success for San Diegans who need it the most.”
United Way of San Diego County impacted 51,633 lives last year, advancing education and financial security to ensure the success of children and families across the region. By investing in early literacy, college and career readiness, and financial empowerment, UWSD works to ensure everyone in San Diego County has the opportunity to thrive.
