Contra Dancing is a called social dance with live music. No experience necessary, there is a beginners' lesson at 6:30 p.m. to introduce the terms that will be used and each dance is introduced with a walk through before the music starts.
San Diego Contra Dance uses gender neutral terms and encourages everyone to join in.
